Wexler’s Deli pickles are half sour made by the process of lacto-fermentation. Lactic acid fermentation relies on beneficial cultures - similar to those used to make yogurt or sourdough bread - to break down natural sugars in the vegetables and produce a variety of healthful substances, primarily lactic acid. Our pickles are flavored with garlic, coriander, pepper, and dill. There is no vinegar in our pickle brine.
Our house made coleslaw has green cabbage, carrot, red onion, diced bread & butter pickles, celery seed, house made mayonnaise (egg yolk, vegetable oil, lemon juice, water and salt), and white vinegar.
Our house made potato salad has Yukon gold potatoes, house made mayonnaise (egg yolk, vegetable oil, lemon juice, water and salt), red onion, crème fraiche, dill pickle, celery, hard boiled egg, dill, parsley, yellow mustard and salt & pepper.
We use cage free, Chino Valley Ranch hard boiled eggs, capers, chives, red onion, mayonnaise (egg yolk, vegetable oil, lemon juice, water and salt), and Kosciusko Deli Mustard for our light and fluffy egg salad.
Our tuna is a classic tuna fish salad made with high quality ingredients. The tuna used in the Ocean Avenue is from American Tuna company. All of the tuna they process has been pole and line caught along the West Coast of the United States.
